Les trois autrices choisies étaient déjà considérées en Irlande et dans le monde, comme représentatives de la littérature irlandaise de la fin du XXe siècle et du début du XXIe. Mais le terrain des réactions de lectrices et lecteurs reste une zone encore peu étudiée. L'enquête a été menée à la recherche d'une parole vive, dans des clubs de lecture, et aussi dans des échanges informels sur des forums en ligne. Le travail de Rita Felski, universitaire américaine, a permis d'harmoniser différentes sources, orales et écrites, provenant d'Irlande, de France, mais aussi des États-Unis et du Royaume-Uni, en fournissant de nouvelles perspectives sur le la réception des œuvres littéraires. La lecture permet une reconnaissance de soi, elle enchante, elle ouvre à de nouvelles connaissances, et parfois choque.     "The Bavarian Commentary and Ovid is the first complete critical edition and translation of the earliest preserved commentary on Ovid's Metamorphoses. Today, Ovid's famous work is one of the touchstones of ancient literature, but we have only a handful of scraps and quotations to show how the earliest medieval readers received and discussed the poems-until the Munich Bayerische Staatsbibliothek clm 4610. This commentary, which dates from around the year 1100 is the first systematic study of the Metamorphoses, founding a tradition of scholarly study that extends to the present day. Despite its significance, this medieval commentary has never before been published or analysed as a whole. Böckerman's groundbreaking work includes a critical edition of the entire manuscript, together with a lucid English translation and a rigorous and stimulating introduction, which sets the work in its historical, geographical and linguistic contexts with precision and clarity while offering a rigorous analysis of its form and function.     Biographical note: Marcus Deufert is Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Classical Studies at the Georg-August University of Göttingen. Biographical note: Marcus Deufert ist Oberassistent am Seminar für Klassische Philologie an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. After his death, the comedies of the Roman dramatist Plautus continued to be staged, and were interpreted by scholars and read by enthusiasts and students. The present study deals with the textual history and reception of these comedies from their first performances (approx. 220 - 185 BC) until the start of their direct transmission (approx. 400 AD). The author traces the changes that occurred in the course of the comedies' performance, commentary and exploitation by scholars and teachers. In the process, he not only draws a fascinating and comprehensive picture of the history of Plautus reception and scholarship in classical times, but also provides important insights into the history of literary and linguistic studies in Rome. Die Komödien des römischen Dichters Plautus wurden nach dessen Tod erneut auf die Bühne gebracht, von Philologen erklärt und von Liebhabern und Schülern gelesen. Die vorliegende Arbeit widmet sich der Textgeschichte und Rezeption dieser Komödien von den Uraufführungen (ca. 220 - 185 v. Chr.) bis zum Einsetzen der direkten Überlieferung (ca. 400 n. Chr.). Der Autor geht den Veränderungen der Komödientexte im Zuge ihrer Aufführung, Kommentierung und Verwertung durch Philologen und Lehrer nach. Er entwirft damit nicht nur ein faszinierendes Gesamtbild der Geschichte der Plautusphilologie und -rezeption im Altertum, sondern gibt auch wichtige Einblicke in die Geschichte der Philologie in Rom.

    Biographical note: Rahel Puffert (Dr. phil.) lehrt Kunst und ihre Vermittlung an der Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind edukative und soziale Funktionen von Kunst, Kunst im öffentlichen Raum sowie Kunstprojekte an Schulen. Wie erreicht Kunst ihre Öffentlichkeit? An wen wendet sich Kunst überhaupt und mit welcher Absicht? Das Verhältnis von Kunstproduktion und Kunstvermittlung sowie die daraus resultierenden gesellschaftlichen Folgen stehen im Mittelpunkt dieses Buches. Ausgehend von den kunst- und kulturpolitischen Debatten der russischen Avantgarden nach 1917 geht die Autorin dem Paradigmenwechsel nach, der die gesellschaftliche Funktion von Kunst - aber auch die soziale und pädagogische Dimension künstlerischer Arbeit - bis heute grundlegend verändert hat. Die Studie untersucht, inwiefern sich ein Kunstbegriff, der seine Vermittlung mitdenkt, aus der Geschichte der Kunst und ihrer Theoriebildung selbst ableiten lässt. Unlike editions of an author's "selected works" or thematic anthologies, which clearly indicate the presence of non-authorial editorial intervention, collected editions have typically been arranged to imply an unmediated documentary completeness. By design, the collected edition obscures its own role in shaping the cultural reception of the author. In Proofs of Genius, Amanda Gailey argues that decisions to re-edit major authorial corpora are acts of canon-formation in miniature that indicate more foundational shifts in the way a culture views its literature and itself. By combining a theoretically-informed approach with a broad historical view of collected editions from the late eighteenth century to the present (including the rise of digital editions), Gailey fills a gap in the textual scholarship of the editing history of major figures like Emily Dickinson and Walt Whitman and of the American literary canon itself"--

After his death, the comedies of the Roman dramatist Plautus continued to be staged, and were interpreted by scholars and read by enthusiasts and students. The present study deals with the textual history and reception of these comedies from their first performances (approx. 220 - 185 BC) until the start of their direct transmission (approx. 400 AD). The author traces the changes that occurred in the course of the comedies' performance, commentary and exploitation by scholars and teachers. In the process, he not only draws a fascinating and comprehensive picture of the history of Plautus reception and scholarship in classical times, but also provides important insights into the history of literary and linguistic studies in Rome. Die Komödien des römischen Dichters Plautus wurden nach dessen Tod erneut auf die Bühne gebracht, von Philologen erklärt und von Liebhabern und Schülern gelesen. Die vorliegende Arbeit widmet sich der Textgeschichte und Rezeption dieser Komödien von den Uraufführungen (ca. 220 - 185 v. Chr.) bis zum Einsetzen der direkten Überlieferung (ca. 400 n. Chr.). Der Autor geht den Veränderungen der Komödientexte im Zuge ihrer Aufführung, Kommentierung und Verwertung durch Philologen und Lehrer nach.     Je mehr wir in der Moderne ankommen, umso stärker wirkt die Gleichung zwischen Kunst und Behinderung - bis Kunst kaum mehr ohne den Schatten der Behinderung wahrgenommen werden kann. Tatsächlich ist diese Gleichung so stark, dass wir Schwierigkeiten haben, Kunstwerke der Vergangenheit nicht nach Maßgabe moderner Bilder von Behinderung zu sehen. Die Essays von Tobin Siebers konzipieren dagegen Kunst als einen Bereich, in dem Behinderung einen eigenständigen ästhetischen Wert besitzt.
