    ger: Die vorliegende Arbeit vergleicht deskriptive Theorie-Ansätze der Political-Leadership-Forschung anhand eines metatheoretischen Schemas, das aus der Debatte um 'Structure vs. Agency' abgeleitet wird. Mittels der Positionen des Strukturalismus, Intentionalismus sowie der Agency-Theorien untersucht sie die Modellierung von Kausalketten in einer Fallauswahl aus Robert Elgies 2015 erschienenem Buch "Studying Political Leadership." eng: The present thesis compares descriptive theoretical approaches within political leadership studies, using a meta-theoretical scheme derived from the debate on 'structure vs. agency'. On the basis of the positions of structuralism, intentionalism and agency theories, it examines the modelling of causal chains within a selection of cases from Robert Elgie's book "Studying Political Leadership," published in 2015.
