    En 2000, la production marocaine de livres atteint en un an l'équivalent de ce qui a été publié auparavant en près d'un siècle. Ce dynamisme atteste d'un secteur en mutation, reflet d'une libéralisation politique commencée au milieu des années 1990, qui est allée de pair avec une transformation sociale et culturelle. À partir d'une enquête ethnographique sur les pratiques du livre, de la lecture et de l'écriture, Anouk Cohen analyse cette effervescence toujours en cours. Elle décrit divers aspects de l'édition : de la lecture et du lecteur au processus de fabrication du livre, en passant par les enjeux de publication, les lieux et les réseaux, dans le but de cerner les logiques à l'oeuvre dans les modes de transformation complexes au terme desquels un livre advient effectivement

    Bouchra Khalili works across film, video, installation, photography, printmaking and editorial platforms. Originating from long and extended research, her interdisciplinary practice examines imperial and colonial continuums as epitomized by contemporary forced illegal migrations and the suppressed memory of anti-colonial struggles and international solidarity. Deeply informed by the legacy of post-independence avant-gardes and vernacular traditions from her native Morocco, Khalili's methodology develops strategies of storytelling at the intersection of history and micro-narratives. She suggests a meditation on the power of civil poetry as defined by Italian poet and filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini and as practiced for centuries in Al-Halqa, Morocco's oldest tradition of public storytelling. Bouchra Khalili arbeitet medienübergreifend mit einem sehr charakteristischen Erzählstil. Diese Monografie erscheint anlässlich ihrer Ausstellung im Bildmuseet in Umeå, Schweden. Mit dem Wissen um die Avantgarden der Zeit nach der Unabhängigkeit sowie um die volkstümlichen Traditionen ihres Heimatlandes Marokko kombiniert Khalili in ihren Arbeiten verschiedene performative Strategien des Geschichtenerzählens. Diese narrativen Formen sind dabei sowohl von 'ziviler Poesie', wie sie vom italienischen Filmemacher Pier Paolo Pasolini definiert wurde, als auch von der Tradition der marokkanischen Al-Halqa inspiriert. Begleitende Essays ordnen die mit diesen Erzählweisen verbundenen Konzepte ein.BOUCHRA KHALILI (*1975) ist eine marokkanisch-französische Künstlerin und Professorin, sie lebt in Berlin. In ihren Arbeiten beschäftigt sie sich mit Film, Installation, Fotografie und Druckgrafik und entwickelt Strategien des Geschichtenerzählens.

    "The aim of this book is to highlight the role that gender research can play in understanding natural resource management and rural development issues in the Middle East and North Africa region and how hands-on training and mentoring can be used as a capacity enhancement approach. It presents findings of four research teams, working in three countries, Algeria, Lebanon and Morocco. The approach was to build the capacity of national teams through hands-on field research, mentoring and technical support, which is different from traditional training.
