Huit dessinateurs de bande dessinée sont partis sur les traces de Casanova à Venise, la ville muse peinte au XVIIIe siècle par Canaletto et Guardi : François Avril, Griffo, Miles Hyman, Kim Jung Gi, Tanino Liberatore, Loustal, Milo Manara et Zep. La nouvelle exposition organisée par le fonds Glénat pour le patrimoine et la création. Parmi les célèbres observateurs de Venise, deux peintres du XVIIIe siècle, Giovanni Antonio Casal, dit Canaletto (1697-1768), et Francesco Guardi (1712-1793), ont fait école dans l'art des "vedute", ces tableaux de format souvent réduit que les aristocrates conservaient en souvenir de leur séjour dans l'opulente Cité des Doges
