    Landschaft ist mehr als nur ein idyllisch überformter Naturausschnitt. Spätestens seit Ausgang des Industriezeitalters stehen Um- und Aufwertungen der Landschaft zur Debatte, die nicht nur in der Landschaftsplanung, sondern auch in den Künsten kontrovers verhandelt werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund fokussiert die vorliegende Studie literarische postindustrielle Landschaften. Konkret sind es Kerstin Hensel, Wolfgang Hilbig und Volker Braun, in deren Texten gegenwärtige und vergangene Landschaftsideen und -konstrukte des Erzgebirges, des Leipziger Südraumes und der Niederlausitz einer kritischen Überprüfung unterzogen werden. Der Befund: Landschaft wird auch dort als solche identifiziert, wo ein ästhetisches Landschaftsverständnis sprachlos ist: in ehemaligen Tagebauen und Fabrikarealen, im idyllisch überformten und ‚geschichtsvergessenen‘ Erzgebirge. Aus einem sozialkonstruktivistischen Blickwinkel wird so verdeutlicht, dass die be-schriebenen Landschaften immer schon Schauplatz mannigfacher Zuschreibungen, Ideologisierungen und Instrumentalisierungen sowie zukunftsgläubiger Visionen waren. In diesem Sinne werden die fokussierten Landschaften als vakant markiert: Vakant für Neuzuschreibungen und Imaginationen. Inga Probst promovierte mit der vorliegenden Arbeit an der Universität Leipzig. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind deutschsprachige Gegenwartsliteratur, die Literatur der DDR sowie Narrative der Arbeit und postindustrielle Kulturen.
