    Subgingivale Kronenfrakturen im ästhetischen Bereich stellen den Zahnarzt vor eine schwierige Aufgabe. Einerseits soll die Frakturgrenze durch die spätere Restauration ausreichend gefasst sein, andererseits aber gilt es, die parodontalen Strukturen nicht zu schädigen und die biologische Breite einzuhalten. Sofern der Zahn erhalten werden soll, kann die Behandlung einer solchen Komplikation durch Extrusion der Wurzel mit Hilfe von kieferorthopädischen Apparaturen oder Magneten erfolgen. Diese Optionen sind häufig die ästhetisch und funktionell besseren Alternativen zu einer chirurgischen Kronenverlängerung. Der Beitrag stellt anhand eines Fallbeispiels eine einfache Möglichkeit zur schonenden kieferorthopädischen Extrusion einer Wurzel unter Zuhilfenahme von Magneten vor.
