    Rezension sowiport.de: Gegenstand des Buches sind die Gründe und Folgen der Bindung (Commitment) von Mitarbeitern an ihre Organisation, d.h. im Buch wird gefragt, was das Gefühl der Zugehörigkeit und Treue gegenüber einer Organisation ausmacht, wie es entsteht und gefördert werden kann. Zunächst erläutert der Autor Erklärungsstatus und Formen des Commitment. Anschließend geht er auf die Abgrenzung des Commitment zu anderen Konzepten der organisationspsychologischen Forschung, nämlich der Arbeitszufriedenheit und dem Involvement, ein. Abschließend behandelt er folgende Fragen: Welche Bedeutung hat die Schaffung von Commitment für das Überleben und den Erfolg von Organisationen? Lassen sich Konsequenzen sozialtechnologischer Art ableiten? Gibt es auch negative Konsequenzen von hohem Commitment? Bei der Beantwortung dieser Fragen differenziert der Autor zwischen dem Commitment in modernen und in utopischen Gesellschaften.

    Rezension sowiport.de: Gegenstand des Buches sind die Gründe und Folgen der Bindung (Commitment) von Mitarbeitern an ihre Organisation, d.h. im Buch wird gefragt, was das Gefühl der Zugehörigkeit und Treue gegenüber einer Organisation ausmacht, wie es entsteht und gefördert werden kann. Zunächst erläutert der Autor Erklärungsstatus und Formen des Commitment. Anschließend geht er auf die Abgrenzung des Commitment zu anderen Konzepten der organisationspsychologischen Forschung, nämlich der Arbeitszufriedenheit und dem Involvement, ein. Abschließend behandelt er folgende Fragen: Welche Bedeutung hat die Schaffung von Commitment für das Überleben und den Erfolg von Organisationen? Lassen sich Konsequenzen sozialtechnologischer Art ableiten? Gibt es auch negative Konsequenzen von hohem Commitment? Bei der Beantwortung dieser Fragen differenziert der Autor zwischen dem Commitment in modernen und in utopischen Gesellschaften.
