"No husbands allowed. Only minutes after Abbie Elliot and her three best friends step off of a private helicopter, they enter the most luxurious, sumptuous, sensually pampering hotel they have ever been to. Their lavish presidential suite overlooks Monte Carlo, and they surrender: to the sun and pool, to the sashimi and sake, to the Bruno Paillard champagne. For four days they're free to live someone else's life. As the weekend moves into pulsating discos, high-stakes casinos, and beyond, Abbie is transported to the greatest pleasure and release she has ever known. What happened last night? In the morning's harsh light, Abbie awakens on a yacht, surrounded by police. Something awful has happened--something impossible, unthinkable. Abbie, Winnie, Serena, and Bryah are arrested and accused of the foulest crime imaginable. And now the vacation of a lifetime becomes the fight of a lifetime--for survival. GUILTY WIVES is the ultimate indulgence, the kind of nonstop joy-ride of excess, friendship, betrayal, and danger that only James Patterson can create"--

Although she has experienced her share of problems, private investigator Gwenn Ramadge has never seen a situation as troublesome as that of her client Emma Trent. Police believe the twice widowed Trent is responsible for the deaths of both husbands. Unable to prove anything when her first husband died, the police are determined to nail her now for the death of number two, despite scant physical evidence. Because they have a motive that links Trent so completely to this crime, even normally optimistic Gwenn has doubts about her ability to prove Emma Trent's innocence. But the case takes an unexpected turn when Gwenn discovers the presence of a mysterious woman whose life is somehow entwined with Trent's. Aware that this shadowy figure may be the key to her client's defense, Gwenn must use every trick in the book to track her down. Convinced that Trent's arrest would be a miscarriage of justice, Gwenn vows to unmask the real killer and set Trent free - no matter what the cost. With Used to Kill, it's easy to see why Publishers Weekly calls Gwenn Ramadge "another winner, an attractive and intelligent private eye.

Caleb Williams is a psychological thriller and suspenseful tale of detection and pursuit. It is also a powerful political novel, inspired by the events following the French Revolution. This new edition reprints the original novel of 1794, the grittier, topical text that reflects Godwin's political philosophy. - ;'He appears to be persecutor and I the persecuted: is not this difference the mere creature of the imagination?'Caleb is a guileless young servant who enters the employment of Ferdinando Falkland, a cosmopolitan and benevolent country gentleman. Falkland is subject to fits of unexplain

Harry Bosch is back as a volunteer working cold cases for the San Fernando police and is called out to a local drug store where a young pharmacist has been murdered. Bosch and the town's three-person detective squad sift through the clues, which lead into the dangerous big-business world of prescription drug abuse. Meanwhile, an old case from Bosch's LAPD days comes back to haunt him when a long-imprisoned killer claims Harry framed him and seems to have new evidence to prove it. Bosch left the LAPD on bad terms, so his former colleagues aren't keen to protect his reputation. He must fend for himself in clearing his name and keeping a clever killer in prison. The two unrelated cases wind across each other like strands of barbed wire. Along the way Bosch discovers that there are two kinds of truth: the kind that sets you free and the kind that leaves you buried in darkness
