    »Digital media« is increasingly finding its way into the discussions of the humanities classroom. But while there is a number of grand theoretical texts about digital literature there as yet is little in the way of resources for discussing the down-to-earth practices of research, teaching, and curriculum necessary for this work to mature. This book presents contributions by scholars and teachers from different countries and academic environments who articulate their approach to the study and teaching of digital literature and thus give a broader audience an idea of the state-of-the-art of the subject matter also in international comparison.

    Vor dem Hintergrund der digitalen Transformation und computergenerierter Literatur stellt sich die Frage: Findet sich im literarischen Text etwas, das über den reinen Akt der kombinatorischen Verknüpfung von sprachlichem Material nach bestimmten Regeln hinausgeht? Jan Hase nähert sich dieser Frage mit einer Ethos-Theorie des literarischen Schreibens, die entlang eines Lektürewegs von Roland Barthes über den Orpheus-Mythos und die griechischen Denker Platon und Gorgias zurück zu neusten literarischen Entwicklungen führt. Damit setzt er ein literaturtheoretisches Panorama in Szene, das so beleuchtet bisher selten im Zentrum stand.

Die Beiträger:innen fragen nach den Funktionen und Erscheinungsformen auktorialer Performanz in Weblogs, sozialen Medien und auf anderen digitalen Bühnen, die im Zuge der Covid-19-Pandemie einen Boom erlebten. Sie zeigen, wie analoge Medien und Praktiken der Autor:inneninszenierung im Digitalen aufgegriffen, modifiziert und mitunter durch neue Modelle öffentlicher Autor:innenschaft ersetzt werden. Neben den ökonomischen Zusammenhängen interessiert dabei insbesondere die politische Dimension schriftstellerischer Selbstinszenierung, die in digitalen Öffentlichkeiten virulent wird.

Die Beiträger:innen fragen nach den Funktionen und Erscheinungsformen auktorialer Performanz in Weblogs, sozialen Medien und auf anderen digitalen Bühnen, die im Zuge der Covid-19-Pandemie einen Boom erlebten. Sie zeigen, wie analoge Medien und Praktiken der Autor:inneninszenierung im Digitalen aufgegriffen, modifiziert und mitunter durch neue Modelle öffentlicher Autor:innenschaft ersetzt werden. Neben den ökonomischen Zusammenhängen interessiert dabei insbesondere die politische Dimension schriftstellerischer Selbstinszenierung, die in digitalen Öffentlichkeiten virulent wird.

    Vor dem Hintergrund der digitalen Transformation und computergenerierter Literatur stellt sich die Frage: Findet sich im literarischen Text etwas, das über den reinen Akt der kombinatorischen Verknüpfung von sprachlichem Material nach bestimmten Regeln hinausgeht? Jan Hase nähert sich dieser Frage mit einer Ethos-Theorie des literarischen Schreibens, die entlang eines Lektürewegs von Roland Barthes über den Orpheus-Mythos und die griechischen Denker Platon und Gorgias zurück zu neusten literarischen Entwicklungen führt.
