Abstract: "Endeavours to understand the complex interactions between society and environment have stimulated a lively debate over the prerequisites for interdisciplinarity and integrated environmental research. One highly contested issue is whether, and to what extent, interdisciplinarity can be achieved within the framework of present academic structures, considering their strong disciplinary orientation. Some scholars see a need for a fundamental reorganisation of science and its links back to society, in order to be able to develop trans-disciplinary and problem-oriented knowledge. Other authors reject this position and highlight the need for strictly disciplinary research which then has to be integrated into interdisciplinary re-search by appropriate organisational means. Abstract: The article investigates the political mechanisms specific to contemporary Romanian politics and political parties, as well as those social representations related to gender roles and the definition of family that have contributed to maintaining a low level of women participation in Romanian politics after 1989. In a first part, it sets the conceptual context through a review of the main theoretical approaches for the political representation of women, with an emphasis on gender studies’ cognitive dimension. Second, it connects a quantitative evaluation of women’s presence in the Romanian post communist parliament with a qualitative analysis of public (i.e. mass media) discourse of the rejected legislative proposal to introduce gender quotas in various political and social processes. Abstract: "Im Vortrag soll in vier Schritten die Relevanz ausdifferenzierter biographischer Fiktionen, wie sie in modernen Verbreitungsmedien tradiert werden, als Indikatoren der semantischen Strukturierung einer Gesellschaft verdeutlicht werden. 1. beginne ich mit der Fokussierung auf die dramaturgische Konstruktionsleistung einer Lebensbeschreibung, deren 2. fiktiktiver Charakter in der Möglichkeit besteht, von Fragen der konkret-realistischen Übereinstimmung abzusehen. 3. beschäftigte ich mich mit den sozialen Situationen der Erzeugung biographischer Formen, um zu zeigen, daß biographische Fiktionen als ausdifferenzierte Werke doppelt reflexiv sind, nämlich a) aufgrund ihres Charakters als konsumatorische Aktivität (Hirschman 1990) und b) aufgrund ihrer Möglichkeit, sich auf die Formgebung der Beschreibung (des biographischen Zeichengebrauchs) zu beziehen. 4. Abstract: Mit dieser Arbeit wird eine computergestützte Simulation zur Theoriebewertung innerhalb einer Multiagentensimulation vorgestellt. Durch diese Simulation wird gezeigt, wie Faktoren der Sozial- und Strukturebenen im Bezug zur Theoriebewertung ineinander greifen. Die Beobachtung der Dynamik von Theorien und deren Auswirkung auf Wissenschaftsgemeinschaften bietet viele Perspektiven und ist somit interdisziplinäre Betrachtung des Wissenschaftsprozesses. Während die Wissenschaftstheorie und Philosophie Ideen zur Wissenschaftssprache und des Inhalts liefern, beschreibt die Soziologie die gruppendynamischen Prozesse der Akteure. In dieser Arbeit wird die Dynamik beider Aspekte in Abhängigkeit gebracht und exemplarisch dargestellt. Dazu wird eine Computersimulation entwickelt, welche es erlaubt modellhafte Experimente durchzuführen
