    [Dt.:] Hier handelt es sich um das NeLRaLEC-Projekt (Nepali Language Resources and Localization for Education and Communication). Ziel ist es, Software zu entwickeln, die auch mit Nepali-Schrift funktioniert. Damit soll auch der Nepali sprechenden Bevölkerung die Möglichkeit gegeben werden, am globalen Informationstransfer teilnehmen zu können. Des Weiteren ist auch ein Nepali-Englisch Wörterbuch geplant. - [Engl.:] NeLRaLEC (Nepali Language Resources and Localization for Education and Communication) project, referred to as Bhasha Sanchar (in Nepali) is a three-year (2005-2007) project, that serves the ICT needs of local communities and citizens, and provide an input into sustainable development, by developing and deploying software technologies that work in Nepali. The NeLRaLEC project has been funded by Asia IT and C Programme of the European Commission. Led by the Open University, UK, the other project partners are Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya and the Central Department of Linguistics at Tribhuvan University from Nepal, and Lancaster University UK, Göteberg University Sweden and the European Languages Resource Association (ELRA) France from Europe. The main objective is to further integrate Nepal and neighbouring regions in the Information Society so that they can exploit Information and Communication Technologies through the medium of Nepali
