    Wie sind Geschlecht und Ethnizität miteinander verflochten? Anhand einer kulturwissenschaftlichen Filmanalyse setzt J. Seipel diese Frage in Beziehung mit Theorien zu Nation und Multikulturalismus und kann so die Bedeutung der Repräsentation von Migrantinnen und Migranten für gesellschaftliche Prozesse der Konstruktion und für das Selbstverständnis eines multikulturalistischen Nationengebildes aufzeigen. Der Fokus auf Australien liefert dabei einen im deutschsprachigen Raum bisher wenig diskutierten sozialen und kulturellen Hintergrund. Damit bietet der Band die Möglichkeit für Reflexionen und eine Erweiterung des eigenen Blicks
