    ger: Natürliche Sprachen sind von ihrem Wesen her dynamisch und unterliegen stetiger Veränderung. Dies ist auch bei Dialekten und anderen Sprachvarietäten der Fall, aber wie verhält es sich speziell in Bezug auf das Genuesische?
    Um die Sprache vergangener Jahrhunderte mit der heutigen analytisch bzw. auf linguistisch fundierter Basis zu vergleichen, erweist sich die Heranziehung und Untersuchung von Texten eines homogenen Textgenres als sinnvoll. Die älteste Textgattung auf Genuesisch, die seit dem 14. Jahrhundert in der Literatur jeder Epoche ohne Unterbrechung zu finden ist, ist das Gedicht. Im Zentrum dieser Arbeit stehen daher auf Genuesisch verfasste Gedichte vom 14. bis zum 21. Jahrhundert, die von genuesischen Autoren verfasst wurden.
    Die vorliegende Dissertation untergliedert sich in zwei Hauptteile. Im ersten Teil werden, nach einer kurzen Einführung in das Genuesische und seine Charakteristika, ausgewählte Gedichte (inkl. Informationen über die jeweiligen Autoren) chronologisch wiedergegeben und ins Italienische übersetzt. Im Anschluss folgt der zweite Teil der Arbeit, in welchem die Hauptmerkmale des Genuesischen, insbesondere jene phonetischer und graphischer Natur, herausgearbeitet und analysiert werden. Durch den Vergleich der Texte aus verschiedenen Jahrhunderten wird nachgezeichnet, wie sich das genuesische Gedicht im Laufe der Zeit verändert hat und worin diese Veränderungen im Einzelnen bestehen. eng: Natural languages are dynamic and change over time. This is also the case with dialects and other language varieties; but how does it work with Genoese?
    In order to analyse and compare today’s language variety with that of many years ago on a linguistic basis, it has shown to be of integral importance to compare texts belonging to the same text genre. The oldest text genre to be found in the Genoese literature without interruptions is poetry, dating from the 14th century onwards. The analysis of this work focuses on Genoese poetry composed by Genoese authors from the 14th up to the 21st century.
    This PhD thesis is divided into two major parts. In the first part of the work, following an overview of Genoese and its main features, some Genoese poems are provided chronologically (including information about their author) and are translated into Italian. In the second part of the work the main features of Genoese are analysed, especially with regard to their orthographical and phonetical features. Comparing the poems of various centuries, it is shown how Genoese has evolved and what its main changes have been.
