    Die kulturelle Vielfalt in der heutigen Welt richtet die Aufmerksamkeit auf fremde Kulturen, die u.a. über Literatur erfahrbar werden. Ausgehend davon behandelt die vorgelegte Studie interkulturelle Aspekte in der deutschen Gegenwartsliteratur anhand der Romane Sieger nach Punkten von Thorsten Becker, Selim oder die Gabe der Rede von Sten Nadolny und Das Verschwinden des Schattens in der Sonne von Barbara Frischmuth. Die Analyse macht verständlich, dass es sich bei allen drei Romanen um außerordentliche Exemplare aus der deutschen Gegenwartsliteratur handelt, die sich mit ihrer differenzierenden Wahrnehmung der türkischen Fremden vom tradierten Orientalismus distanzieren und mit neuen Einblicken in die Welt der Fremden zu einer einfühlenden Wahrnehmung animieren. Entlang der Erörterung der literarischen Interkulturalität ist es interessant zu sehen, wie auch die deutsch-deutschen Autoren ohne jeglichen Migrationshintergund literarische Texte verfassen, die mit einem großen interkulturellem Potential ausgestattet sind, und denen in den heutigen multikulturellen Gesellschaften eine hohe Bedeutung zukommt.
