    Main description: Im Anschluß an die Sammelbände »Literatur und Kriminalität« (1983, STSL 8) und »Erzählte Kriminalität« (1991, STSL 27) untersuchen die Beiträge des Bandes Diskurse der gesellschaftlichen Konstruktion von Devianz, Kriminalität und Justiz und exemplarische Konstellationen ihrer (massen-)medialen Repräsentation im 20. Jahrhundert. Theoretische Überlegungen zum Zusammenhang von "Übertretung2 und "Ordnung" auf der Basis neuerer Forschungen zur Repräsentation von Verbrechen und Justiz in Deutschland und den USA sowie Beiträge zu kriminologischen, juristischen und politischen Diskursen der Gegenwart erleichtern darüber hinaus die systematische und historische Verortung der Fallstudien
