    Main description: Die durch einen choliambischen Prolog eingeleiteten Hexametersatiren des Persius (1. Jh. n. Chr.) vereinen den traditionellen Gesellschaftsbezug der Gattung mit dem ideellen Anspruch philosophischer Ethik zu einer ebenso individuellen wie fruchtbaren Synthese. Bei der Neukonstitution des Textes wird das Abhängigkeitsverhältnis der einzelnen Handschriften und ihr daraus resultierender Überlieferungswert neu bestimmt. Das Corpus der Persiusscholien wird dabei erstmals auf der Basis der jüngst erfolgten wissenschaftlichen Erstedition systematisch als Überlieferungsträger ausgewertet
