Each of the authors presents studies that carefully examine the situation and the political, social and economic context suggest that the progress made in recent decades in women's rights and empowerment, democratic governance, Human rights, access to employment, education and health, are still very modest on the long journey our countries must make to win the welfare of citizens. Therefore imperative that dynamic and competent social movements favour process processes and more effective and sustainable development.
