    "Libraries were originally created to preserve, archive and (later) disseminate literature. Centuries since the first libraries were created we are faced with the same issues in a digital form. Transversals is based on an NEH-funded research project to create a strong critical foundation for the study of Preservation, Archiving, and Dissemination (PAD) techniques that can help to inform scholars interested in a study of born digital objects.
