Der Rahmen der Bewährung reicht dabei vom studentischen Seminarvortrag über Geschäftsbesprechungen und öffentliche Diskussionsanmerkungen bis hin zum Auftritt als Redner auf Fachtagungen. Mit allen diesen Anforderungen - sie sind zum Teil durchaus 'technischer' Natur - befaßt sich hier ein bewährtes Autorengespann, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf dem bildunterstützten Fachvortrag auf Tagungen und Kongressen liegt. Ihr Buch hat bei Lesern aus den wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen und darüber hinaus auf Lehrgängen der Wirtschaft gute Resonanz gefunden, so daß zwei Jahre nach seinem Erscheinen diese Neubearbeitung vorgelegt werden kann. Der Text wurde an vielen Seiten vertieft und noch näher an bestehende ältere Quellen wie an die jüngste Fachliteratur herangeführt. Auch weitere Erfahrungen aus der Vortragstätigkeit der Autoren sind dabei eingeflossen. Insgesamt ist es gelungen, bei aller inhaltlichen Dichte den humorvollen Ton des ersten Entwurfs zu erhalten und mit noch mehr Cartoons sogar zu verstärken, und das ist gut so. Das Reden in der Öffentlichkeit ist schließlich nicht nur ein lehr- und lernbarer Gegenstand, sondern auch eine zutiefst menschliche Erfahrung. Topics are dealt with in more detail, and further personal experiences of the authors in giving presentations are woven into the more theoretical information. A humorous style and numerous cartoons ensure that the material - in all its density - is presented in an entertaining and effective manner. Public speaking is, after all, not only a subject to be learned and taught - it is also a very human experience. In both of these areas this book offers assistance and stimulation.
