    Die explorative Studie untersucht anhand von Korpusbelegen, in welchen Fällen satzförmige oder infinitivische propositionale Strukturen bedeutungserhaltend durch Nominalisierungen ersetzbar sind. Auf indirekte Weise soll so ein Zugang auch zur Bedeutung von propositionalen Strukturen selbst eröffnet werden. Die in der Literatur gängige These, dass nur bei einem Teil der Denotatsorten propositionaler Strukturen (von Ereignissen über Tatsachen bis zu ,rein abstrakten Objekten‘) Nominalisierung möglich sei, wird durch die Studie widerlegt. Damit stellt sich auch die Frage nach der Haltbarkeit der gängigen Fassung des Begriffs Proposition selbst. Die von Friederike Moltmann vertretene neue Sichtweise auf Propositionen scheint hingegen auch für Nominalisierungen eine Analyse ohne die bisher auftretenden Widersprüche zu ermöglichen. ; Based on corpus evidence the explorative study investigates in which case sentential or infinitival propositional structures can be substituted by nominalizations salva veritate. In this indirect way light may be shed on the meaning of propositional structures as such. The assumption, prevalent in current research, that nominalization is licensed only with certain sorts of entities propositional structures can denote (from events or facts up to ‚pure abstract objects‘) is disproved by the study. This also calls the traditional concept of proposition into question. The recent approach to the semantics of propositions forwarded by Friederike Moltmann promises also to allow for an analysis of nominalizations without leading into inconsistencies.
