    Die Untersuchung geht der Frage nach, wie Normen über das gegenseitige Verhalten von Frauen und Männern vermittelt werden. Aus sozialpsychologischen, ritual- und diskurstheoretischen Ansätzen entwickelt sie für das Medium Drucktext ein Modell, wonach vor allem die Darstellung von Konfliktverläufen normativ wirkt.Die Arbeit führt vor, dass in protestantischen deutschen Drucktexten des 17. Jahrhunderts die fünf Konfliktverlaufsmuster 'Kompliment', 'Disputation', 'Verleumdung', 'Rehabilitation' und 'Buße' für die Vermittlung von Normen des gegenseitigen Verhaltens der Geschlechter verantwortlich sind. Sie kommen in so unterschiedlichen Gattungen wie Schäfergedicht und Landesordnung vor, halten sich nicht an Grenzen inhaltlich definierter Diskurse und werden als normative Muster selbst durch abweichende Variation konstitutiert.

    Controversial poetry played a crucial role in dealing with religious, political, and scholarly conflicts from 1400 until 1625. This volume analyses roles and functions of Latin, Italian, Dutch, German, Scots, and Hungarian poetry in specific historical controversies. A media theory of poetical impact is proposed by Franz-Josef Holznagel and Dieuwke van der Poel. Levente Seláf, Philipp Steinkamp, and Guillaume van Gemert examine the genres sung in wars, and in rulers’ controversies. Judith Keßler, Dirk Coigneau, Juliette Groenland, and Regina Töpfer analyse how female and male rhetoricians and humanists use verse in religious, municipal, and educational conflicts. Signe Rotter-Broman, Samuel Pakucs Willcocks†, and Alasdair MacDonald explain how reception strategies can shape cultural and political identities. Controversial Poetry 1400-1625 diskutiert den entscheidenden Einfluss von Controversial Poetry, Kontrovers-Dichtung, in Konflikten zwischen 1400 und 1625.     Kanonische Werke zeichnet aus, dass sie Zeiten überdauern und deshalb in unterschiedlichen Medien und Kontexten präsentiert werden – sie werden immer wieder aufs Neue ‚gerahmt‘ und damit neuen kulturellen Situationen angepasst. Dieses Beiheft der ZfdPh untersucht solche Rahmungen in vierfacher Perspektive: Es analysiert ihre Materialität und Paratextualität, es fragt nach editorischen Textkonstitutionen und nach den Prinzipien der Sammlung, in der sie erscheinen. An der Schnittstelle von Literatur-, Medien- und Buchwissenschaft sowie neueren, den Kulturwissenschaften nahestehenden Arbeitsfeldern wie ‚Sammeln‘ und ‚Materialität‘ entsteht so ein Untersuchungsbereich, der in diesem Band anhand von Beispielen theoretisch reflektiert wird.

    "Die Untersuchung geht der Frage nach, wie Normen über das gegenseitige Verhalten von Frauen und Männern vermittelt werden. Aus sozialpsychologischen, ritual- und diskurstheoretischen Ansätzen entwickelt sie für das Medium Drucktext ein Modell, wonach vor allem die Darstellung von Konfliktverläufen normativ wirkt. Die Arbeit führt vor, dass in protestantischen deutschen Drucktexten des 17. Jahrhunderts die fünf Konfliktverlaufsmuster 'Kompliment', 'Disputation', 'Verleumdung', 'Rehabilitation' und 'Buße' für die Vermittlung von Normen des gegenseitigen Verhaltens der Geschlechter verantwortlich sind. Sie kommen in so unterschiedlichen Gattungen wie Schäfergedicht und Landesordnung vor, halten sich nicht an Grenzen inhaltlich definierter Diskurse und werden als normative Muster selbst durch abweichende Variation konstitutiert.
