While the Year of the Woman was being declared internationally in 1975, in Argentina, a wave of serious abuses of the human rights of women was getting underway. The intersectional investigation of the narrative of remembrance illuminates a dark chapter in the history of gender. Verónica Ada Abrego (Dr. phil.), Romanistin und Übersetzerin, forschte im Fachbereich Sprach-, Kultur- und Translationswissenschaft der Universität Mainz in Germersheim und lehrt an der Universität Saarbrücken. Ihre Forschungsinteressen liegen in der Untersuchung der Prozesse kultureller Übersetzung im Rahmen der Migrationen in den spanischen und portugiesischen Sprachräumen, in der Erkundung der Manifestationen der Globalisierung in Literatur, Medien und Künsten, sowie in der Intersektionalität, der Transkulturalität und der Dekolonisierung des Denkens.

The intersectional investigation of the narrative of remembrance illuminates a dark chapter in the history of gender. Verónica Ada Abrego (Dr. phil.), Romanistin und Übersetzerin, forschte im Fachbereich Sprach-, Kultur- und Translationswissenschaft der Universität Mainz in Germersheim und lehrt an der Universität Saarbrücken. Ihre Forschungsinteressen liegen in der Untersuchung der Prozesse kultureller Übersetzung im Rahmen der Migrationen in den spanischen und portugiesischen Sprachräumen, in der Erkundung der Manifestationen der Globalisierung in Literatur, Medien und Künsten, sowie in der Intersektionalität, der Transkulturalität und der Dekolonisierung des Denkens.

Es verwundert daher nicht, dass sich das Intersektionalitätsparadigma auch im Bereich der Literaturwissenschaft und -didaktiken zunehmend als produktiv erweist, wie wir mit dem Sammelband zeigen wollen, der intersektionale literaturwissenschaftliche und -didaktische Fallstudien aus unterschiedlichen Philologien versammelt und so ein Prisma der Erforschung literarischer Repräsentationen des Zusammenspiels von einander verschärfenden bzw. abschwächenden Diskriminierungskategorien bietet.     The Cold War founded a bipolar political order and generated a form of dichotomous thinking, placing the world under the constant threat of nuclear catastrophe. Although it divided Europe, it was nevertheless in the then so-called Third World where the conflict claimed its numerous victims, many of them in Latin America. The cultural field was also the scene of the superpower struggles for hegemony, leaving its mark on the intense intertwining between Latin America and Europe.Although the bipolar context is essential to understand the developments of almost five decades, there is still little research that investigates the circumstances and consequences of the conflict for the cultural agents who have historically shaped the common cultural space on both sides of the Atlantic.This volume brings together case studies that critically explore various aspects of that long conflict from a transatlantic research geography. From the perspectives of literary and gender studies, musicology, global history and art ory, the works configure an interdisciplinary panorama of the dynamics of the formation of intellectual and artistic networks, of action and solidarity, and of materialization of geographic nodes. Protagonists, associations, institutions and their networks allow us to explore intellectual and artistic positions, reconstruct the bipolar order broken down to the phenomena of personal and daily cultural life, and also those spaces of a certain autonomy not limited to the logic of the political orders of the superpowers...

    In the light of the material turn in the Humanities some aspects of Julio Cortázar’s (1914–1984) work become very evident today as a laboratory of the future. For Cortázar, reading was a transforming impulse, part of a process of liberation from mental ties to which he contributed as an author, challenging the barrier between the fantastic and the real, the limit between the human and the animal, between the living and the inert. Thus, as a critic on blind Modernity, Cortázar, from his stories, questions anthropocentrism in a gesture that in the current crisis of the Anthropocene could not be more topical. Moreover, while he supported the transformation of people’s material conditions of life in Latin America, he innovated and celebrated literature in intermedial texts that are the decanted result of a creative performance, embedded in the strongly transcultural context of a diaspora that was first voluntary and then became exile. ; Publikationsfond MLU

Es verwundert daher nicht, dass sich das Intersektionalitätsparadigma auch im Bereich der Literaturwissenschaft und -didaktiken zunehmend als produktiv erweist, wie wir mit dem Sammelband zeigen wollen, der intersektionale literaturwissenschaftliche und -didaktische Fallstudien aus unterschiedlichen Philologien versammelt und so ein Prisma der Erforschung literarischer Repräsentationen des Zusammenspiels von einander verschärfenden bzw. abschwächenden Diskriminierungskategorien bietet. Inwiefern die Einzelbeiträge kritische Reflexionen verschiedener Positionen der Intersektionalitätsforschung präsentieren und Beispiele für die vielfältige Ausgestaltung intersektional orientierter Textanalyse auf theoretischer und methodischer Ebene anbieten sowie didaktische Lesarten des Intersektionalitätsparadigmas aufzeigen, machen wir aufbauend auf einer ausführlichen Begriffs- und Theoriereflexion einleitend deutlich.
