The Department of Comparative Literature is a thriving research community in which the emphasis is placed upon interdisciplinary and collaborative work as well as individual research projects of the highest quality in the following key areas: the European avant-garde; modernism and postmodernism; literary theory and aesthetics; Jewish writing; literature and fundamentalism; and medical humanities.
