Dear all, (with apologies for cross-postings),

It is our great pleasure to announce the Call for Papers of the 2023 Conference «Comparing Landscapes: Approaches to Space and Affect in Literary Fiction», to be held in Bielefeld (Germany), on April 20-21, 2023. The Collaborative Research Centre (SFB 1288) - Practices of Comparing at Bielefeld University in collaboration with the Faculty of Linguistics and Literary Studies at Bielefeld University and the Swiss National Science Foundation invites submission of proposals for an exciting interdisciplinary conference at the ZiF Bielefeld, Germany.

The conference is followed by the training school «Digital tools for the identification of textual practices of comparing. An introduction to annotation and operationalisation with CATMA» on April 22.

We would be very grateful if you could share this announcement with your colleagues and across departments and organisations that might have an interest in literature, digital humanities and practices of comparing.

The full CfP is available on the conference website: https://comparing-landscapes.github.io/

The deadline for submissions is on the 19th of February, 2023.

We are looking forward to your submissions!
