Gentlemen, We, the freeholders and other inhabitants of Boston, in town-meeting duly assembled ... apprehending there is abundant reason to be alarmed that the plan of despotism, which the enemies of our invaluable rights have concerted, is rapidly hastening to a completion -
At a meeting of the freeholders and other inhabitants of the town of Boston
legally qualified and warned, in publick town-meeting, assembled at Faneuil-Hall on Monday the 21st day of April, anno Domini, 1766. Voted, that the selectmen be desir'd, when they shall have a certain account of the repeal of the Stamp-Act, to notify the inhabitants of the time they shall fix upon for the general rejoicings, and to publish the following vote, viz -
At a publick town-meeting in Boston, May 9th 1733, and continued by adjournment to May 11th
Voted, that the following scheme, for setting up and regulating markets in this town, be forthwith printed ; and that the committee appointed in March last, together with the select-men, be desired to receive any proposals that may be offered by the inhabitants of the town, in order to any addition or alteration therein -
