    Die Rezeption und Produktion von Kunst generiert sich zentral aus einem kreativen Akt der Erfahrung, der auf Momenten affektiver Performativität beruht. Doch wie lässt sich dieses Phänomen begreifen und beschreiben? Mit einem neuen kunstsoziologischen Ansatz und anhand der Konzepte und Theorien u.a. von Umberto Eco, Pierre Bourdieu und Gilles Deleuze diskutiert Andreas Hudelist die hier auftretenden Dimensionen der Beteiligung. An empirischen Beispielen und mittels qualitativer Interviews spürt er dem kreativen Akt der Erfahrung nach und macht ihn teilweise sichtbar. Dabei erarbeitet er Typologien im Kunstgefüge, die nicht nur eine unterschiedliche Qualität der Beteiligung verdeutlichen, sondern teilweise auch zu einem »magischen Denken« führen.

    "The present volume posits the themes of freedom, action, and motivation as the central principles that drive Spinoza's Ethics from its first part to its last. It assembles essays by internationally leading scholars who provide different, sometimes opposing interpretations of these fundamental themes as they operate across the five parts of the Ethics and within its manifold domains. The diversity of issues, approaches, and perspectives within this volume, along with the chapters' common focus, open up new ways of understanding not only some of the key concepts and main objectives in the Ethics but also the threads unifying the entire work. The sequence of essays in the book broadly follows the order of the Ethics, providing up-to-date perspectives of Spinoza's views on freedom, action, and motivation in their ontological, cognitive, physical, affective, and ethical facets. This enables readers to engage with a variety of new interpretations of these key themes of the Ethics and to reconsider their consequences both for other related issues in the Ethics and for the relevance of the Ethics to contemporary trends in philosophy of action and motivation. The essays will contribute to the growing interest in Spinoza's Ethics and spark further discussion and debate within and outside the vast body of scholarship on this important work.     "The present volume posits the themes of freedom, action, and motivation as the central principles that drive Spinoza's Ethics from its first part to its last. It assembles essays by internationally leading scholars who provide different, sometimes opposing interpretations of these fundamental themes as they operate across the five parts of the Ethics and within its manifold domains. The diversity of issues, approaches, and perspectives within this volume, along with the chapters' common focus, open up new ways of understanding not only some of the key concepts and main objectives in the Ethics but also the threads unifying the entire work. The sequence of essays in the book broadly follows the order of the Ethics, providing up-to-date perspectives of Spinoza's views on freedom, action, and motivation in their ontological, cognitive, physical, affective, and ethical facets.     Musik kann uns zu intensiven, tiefgreifenden Erfahrungen verhelfen, die unsere Selbstwahrnehmung und unsere Sicht auf das Leben und die Welt um uns herum verändern. Die Leser:innen erhalten einen Überblick über Theorien zur Erklärung dieses erstaunlichen Phänomens, die von der Antike über aktuelle philosophische Ansätze bis hin zu einer vergleichenden Strukturanalyse von Meditation und Musikhören reichen. Hierbei stehen neben der häufig als Vehikel zwischen Musik und Welt genannten Affektivität auch über diese hinausgehende Ansätze im Fokus. Diese interdisziplinäre Studie verbindet Musikwissenschaft und Philosophie und richtet sich an alle, die sich für die tiefgreifende Verbindung zwischen Musik und menschlicher Erfahrung interessieren. Music can lead us to intense, profound experiences that transform our self-perception and our view of life and the world around us. Readers are given an overview of theories to explain this astonishing phenomenon, ranging from ancient to current philosophical approaches and a comparative structural analysis of meditation and music listening. The focus here is not only on affectivity, which is often cited as the vehicle between music and the world, but also on approaches that go beyond it.
